In this tutorial, Tamika Nordstrom and Scott Blews will address best practices for handling leaves of absence, return to work issues, accommodations for work restrictions, the interactive process, the interplay between these statutes, and other thorny issues under the ADA and FMLA.

The program will include an emphasis on reducing the risks of lawsuits for discrimination and retaliation. Focusing on the key requirements of each law, this presentation will enable you to better understand strategies for complying with an employer’s legal obligations while curbing abuse. Having litigated employment cases and counseled businesses for decades, Tamika and Scott will approach these topics from legal and practical perspectives, assisting you to weigh legal risk against critical business needs and goals of your organization.
